As a qualified pilot, I operate in the area of aviation from diverse vantage points. I am responsible for mainstreaming the Aviation and Aeronautical Studies Catalytic Niche Area at UNISA; I am a convenor of the Annual General Aviation
Indaba; I am the CEO of the aviation consultancy firm Flying Jurist. I also run a popular YouTube channel on aviation
RESEARCH
As a Professor of with expertise in Aviation Law, I have successfully supervised to completion several PhDs and LLDs in Aviation Law. I have also published journal articles in this field, and edited books on the subject. I have also convened
conferences and seminars in international law, marine law, and aviation law. I also serve as President of the Society for International Aviation Law.
SPEAKING
As a public speaker, I have been invited to present keynote addresses and form part of expert panels at various industry gatherings. These range from lawyers’ gatherings, aviation events, parliamentary committees, career expos, academic
conferences and symposia, church gatherings, etc. These include speaking engagements in South Africa, Nigeria, Ghana, Belgium, etc.

With over twenty years of mentorship under my belt, equiping the next generation of leaders and professionals has become heavily embedded in my day to day business. Underscored by an ubuntu-driven ethos, my mentorship journey has impacted
